Hello Beautiful

Welcome to Sydneyysmiless! Being that this is my first post, I figured I’d tell you guys a little bit about myself. My name is Sydney 😊 I’m 20 years old, from Florida, and I have a super curly fro that I love VERY much! I decided to embrace my curls a little over 2 years ago and I’m very happy I made that decision! I decided to go natural because those straight ends and curly roots were driving me insane. I’d like to add that I used to be addicted to WEAVE! As a recovering weave-a-holic, I had a SEVERE case of heat damage from excessive flat ironing of my leave out. Seeing the damage everyday made me want to either flat iron my hair more and cause more damage or cut it off. Of course I went with the latter. At first I HATED my hair. Growing up my hair was always a topic of discussion. I had long curly thick hair. Even as a newborn I had a full head of hair. This lead me to feel like my hair gave me beauty and defined who I am. I started feeling down but then I gave my mind a Kanye pep-talk and told myself to love me as much as Kanye loves Kanye! My hair wasn’t going to change anytime soon so I had no other choice but to embrace it. After much experimenting, I finally got the hang of things and started to like my results 💁🏾 Fun fact: I like LOVE HAIR NOW! I’m the person that all my family and friends go to when they want to style their hair, and I’m always happy to do it simply because I enjoy it! I’m known for my impressive hair product collection that I will be sharing with you guys soon. Anyway, my goal for this blog is to help other naturals on their journey and maybe even inspire someone to embrace and slay their kinky, curly or coily CROWN 👑 I will be posting every week about products and techniques that I found very helpful on my hair journey so far and just about everyday life; things that I think you guys will find interesting. I also hope to give you guys some beauty tips as well since I’m currently on a healthy skin journey. Next week I will talk about my hair routine in detail, including my wash day routine, deep conditioning, and styling.
